Getting started

Quickstart

From buying a licence to reading your first verdict.

This takes a few minutes, and nothing needs installing on your server.

Set up Trace

  1. Pick a plan

Choose Personal for one admin, or Enterprise 10 / Enterprise 20 for a staff team. See Plans and billing for prices and terms, then buy from the pricing section.

  2. Create your account

Sign up with email and password, Google or Discord. If you buy while signed in, the licence is linked to your account automatically.

  3. Add your licence key

Bought before you had an account? Copy the key from your receipt email (it starts with TRC-) and add it on the Licences page of your dashboard.

  4. Wait for a detection

Trace starts when your anti-cheat flags a player. That in-game detection is the trigger. Trace doesn't watch your server.

  5. Send the player the scanner

A staff member tells the flagged player to download the Trace scanner and run it on their own PC, with FiveM open. Ask in Discord for the current download link.

  6. Read the verdict

When the scan finishes, the report lands on your Trace dashboard: a verdict, a confidence score, every flagged artifact with its hash, and a log you can export.

Tell players what it does first

Some antivirus tools flag any program that reads another process's module list. Send players the scope page before asking them to run the scanner.
